Description
The ICG/653/Universal cable gland is a Group II certified barrier cable gland suitable for installation in Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22 hazardous areas. Double certified ATEX/IECEx (along with many others) for use in enhanced safety (Exe), flameproof (Exd), restricted breathing (ExnR) and dust (Ext) protection concepts. Integral earthing ring suitable for single wire armature ‘W’, wire braid ‘X’ and tape armature ‘Z’. Suitable for both elastomeric and plastic insulated cables, and especially for cables exhibiting cold flow characteristics on the inner sheath, are not effectively filled or contain hydroscopic fillers. The gland has a unique fully inspectable transparent elastomeric chamber The gland also provides an elastomeric seal on the inner sheath of the cable, and a low smoke, zero halogen IP seal on the outer sheath of the cable.

- Fully inspectable chamber with elastomeric compound.
- Available with either ExPress (liquid resin) or QSP (2-component hand-mixed compound), both with a cure time of 30 minutes.
- Reversible reinforcement clamp – For all types of reinforcement and braids.
- Patented cable entry tightening guide – Helps prevent damage caused by over-tightening.
- Unique rear seal – Provides ultimate sealing over an extremely wide cable acceptance range.
- Inspectable deluge seal – provides IP66, IP67, IP68 and IP69 ingress protection.
- Available with metric or NPT threading.
