FSG Wind Sensors
FSG wind sensors are used to measure, control and monitor wind speed. They are mainly used for safety purposes, for example as monitoring systems for cranes and excavators, on cable cars, wind turbines and meteorological stations. Other wind-affected work areas are construction cranes, mobile cranes, work at heights, various types of infrastructure projects, etc. Ahead of the upcoming winter season with high occupancy at the ski resorts, it is important to be able to quickly assess when/if you need to close cable cars or chairlifts. Climate change is causing windier and more unstable weather, and FSG wind sensors can help you assess risks at work.
MODEL TYPES
Two models are available. One with pendulum orientation, particularly suitable for attaching to cranes, and one with a central bracket that mounts vertically on an arm or boom. The wind sensors are equipped with a cross of fixed wind cups in stainless steel or aluminium fitted as standard on the measuring axis. Depending on the application, the wind sensors are available in variants with or without Ex certification.
