Locking Solenoids
Locking solenoids with impressively high forces in a compact design. Safety components in Industry & Automation
- Compact design
- Universal mounting options
- Integrated feedback of locking function
- Available with high protection class
- High radial force load-bearing capacity
Description
Electromagnetic locking units are used in safety devices of machines and all kinds of automation equipment, and as direct function in sequence controls.
Depending on the requirements, two types of solenoids are available.
1. Devices unlocked without voltage, in which a spring resets the locking bolt.
2. Devices locked without voltage, in which an electromagnetic force resets the locking bolt.
The locking magnets of the LLV series achieve a lateral force load-bearing capacity of up to 4,000N thanks to the separate installation of the magnet armature and locking bolts in maintenance-free bearings with high resistance to wear. The locking bolt is manufactured out of non-corrosive and non-magnetic stainless steel.
Integrated feedback of the locking function
The microswitch is built directly into the bolt housing and signals the respective position of the bolt approx. 0.5 mm to 1 mm after leaving the stroke starting position or before reaching the stroke end position.
